Production Technician (2nd Shift)

We are currently seeking a Production Technician for a 1-month temporary assignmen t in Fort Lauderdale, FL 33309 , offering $19 per hour. This role is ideal for individuals with manufacturing experience who are comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Schedule 

• Mon-Fri 4pm-4am

Main Responsibilities

• Operate, changeover, clean, troubleshoot, and perform basic maintenance on production equipment including fillers, labelers, case packers, palletizers, wrappers, and forklifts
• Follow safe work practices and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
• Communicate effectively when operational issues arise
• Meet or exceed performance metrics such as efficiency, production output, and downtime
• Perform required mathematical calculations for production processes
• Conduct hourly quality checks to ensure product standards are met
• Inspect raw materials prior to loading to ensure quality compliance
• Collaborate with team members across departments to maximize efficiency
• Attend scheduled shift, team, and plant meetings
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation
• Cross-train in other operational areas to support production needs

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
• Previous experience in a clean manufacturing environment preferred
• Troubleshooting and root cause analysis experience
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office; SAP experience is a plus)
• Forklift experience preferred (training available)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods
• Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including temperature changes
