Hotel Maintenance Engineer
REPORTS TO: Director of Engineering
Job Summary: Villa Casa Casuarina is an iconic luxury hospitality destination known for its historic architecture, refined service, and world-class guest experience. Maintaining the beauty, safety, and functionality of this landmark property is essential to our brand and guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on hotel facilities, including guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, lighting, and mechanical systems
- Conduct preventative maintenance to protect the historic integrity of the property
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency situations
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and hotel standards
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and work orders
- Assist with special projects, renovations, and inspections as needed
- Previous engineer/maintenance experience or equivalent training required
- Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending and reaching, kneeling, stooping, crawling and climbing
- Attention to detail with respect for historic architecture and finishes
- Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- $18 hourly plus commission
