- Participate in training plan to learn and apply company standard operations procedures and policies within the Distribution Center. Will perform associate role for the initial 6-8 weeks of training in preparation for management position.
- Obtains certifications and training related to job performance and department policies within specified period of time.
- Uses the online Learning Management System and attends Instructor Lead Training (ILT) sessions to obtain knowledge and development.
- Learns the AS400 database, inventory, and reporting systems, and all other systems necessary to be successful in the Manager in Training role.
- Learns all tasks related to managing the day-to-day floor management of the department to ensure the efficiency and productivity in the department.
- Completes all assigned personal and team-based projects and activities. Continues learning all processes to prepare for the next step as a Manager in Training (MIT).
- Manage physical resources to ensure associates have the right resources at the right time to successfully perform their roles. Audit and maintain process flow according to Operations standard operations procedures. Manage department payroll by reducing unnecessary overtime. Audit hourly performance dashboard for department and associate productivity according to goals.
- Performs the responsibilities necessary to start and end a shift in the department, including auditing and correcting Associate timecards and maintaining a clean and organized department.
- Cooperate with all Associates to ensure the success of the assigned department. – 5%
- Gain exposure to safety policies and procedures and ensuring that Associates utilize the proper material handling techniques and equipment to minimize damages and reduce injuries.

- Education & Work Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution required
- No previous experience required
- Work Environment & Schedule:
- Variable shifts over a 4-5 day / 48-50-hour work week, including early morning, late evenings, weekends and holidays in a non-air-conditioned Distribution Center (warehouse).
- Physical Requirements:
- Extended periods of time standing, walking, lifting, and bending in the Distribution Center.
- Technology Requirements:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (i.e. Excel, Word, and Outlook, etc.)
- Google Suite (i.e. Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.)
