Accounts Payable Clerk

POSITION SUMMARY:
Processing of all disbursements including coding with general ledger accounts, data entry of invoice information, printing checks, monthly journal entries and account reconciliations. Distribution of weekly accounts payable check runs. Monitors and controls credit cards for authorized purchases.



POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for processing of all invoices, check requests and expense reports.
• Codes all invoices and check requests with general ledger account numbers.
• Verifies that all supporting documentation is attached to check requests and that all requests have proper authorization.
• Enters all invoices into the system on a timely basis.
• Process accounts payable checks weekly or as needed.
• Prepares monthly journal entries and reconciliations. Reconciles invoices to statements.
• Maintains files for all invoices.
• Completes daily cash report with all disbursements and deposit information.
• Support the finance team with various administrative tasks as needed.
• Audit support.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in accounts payable or related financial roles.
• Familiarity with corporate accounting practices and principles.
• Proficient in financial software applications; experience with Meditech and Paylocity is a plus.
• Strong data entry skills.
• Understanding of debits and credits in double entry bookkeeping.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with vendors and internal teams.
