Brazer – Manufacturing / Production

Location: Chipley, FL
Pay Range: $18.00/hr
Schedule: Full-Time; multiple shifts available

A local copper tube manufacturing company is seeking Brazers to join their production team in Chipley, FL.

This position involves brazing standard and non-standard assemblies such as headers, u-bends, fittings, and distributors . No prior experience is required — we provide training. The ideal candidate is reliable, willing to learn, can follow work instructions and safety standards, and can keep up with production schedules with minimal supervision. If you are an experienced welder, we can train you on brazing techniques.

• Read job specifications to determine the correct torch tips, flux, brazing alloys, and materials
• Follow routers (work instructions) and complete tasks according to the production schedule with minimal supervision
• Obtain First Piece Validation from the designated validator on shift
• Inspect parts at set intervals, up to 100% inspection when required
• Troubleshoot and take corrective action on parts and methods when needed
• Report defective materials, questionable conditions, or incorrect routers to the supervisor, engineering, or quality control
• Place scrap in the designated bin and follow standard work methods to keep production efficient
• Practice safe work habits and clean the brazing station/area daily
• Maintain the 5S housekeeping system in the assigned work area

• Welding experience
• High school diploma/GED, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills, including use of a tape measure, decimals, and fractions
• Able to read and interpret drawings and follow routers (work instructions)
• Able to use basic handheld tools
• No prior experience required; basic knowledge of brazing functions, procedures, tools, and machinery is a plus
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand throughout the shift

• Starting pay of $18.00/hr, with eligibility for scheduled raises in the first year

On-site position in a manufacturing setting. Work involves standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds during the shift, and holding a brazing torch steady at approximately shoulder height. Includes exposure to heat from the brazing torch and a noise level normal for a manufacturing environment.
