Position Summary

We are seeking a polished and professional Host/Hostess to serve as the first point of contact for our guests. In a high-end dining environment, this role is essential in creating a warm, refined, and memorable first impression while ensuring seamless guest flow and exceptional service standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet all guests with professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail upon arrival
• Manage reservations using booking systems (e.g., OpenTable or similar platforms)
• Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize dining room flow and guest experience
• Maintain accurate waitlists and provide realistic wait time estimates
• Escort guests to tables while presenting menus and highlighting key offerings
• Communicate effectively with servers, bartenders, and management regarding guest needs and table status
• Handle VIP guests, special requests, and guest concerns with discretion and professionalism
• Answer phone calls, manage reservations, and respond to guest inquiries
• Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing host stand and entrance area
• Uphold the restaurant’s brand standards, dress code, and hospitality expectations

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a fine dining or upscale hospitality environment preferred
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Ability to remain calm and composed in a fast-paced environment
• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Familiarity with reservation systems is an asset
