Accounts Payable

Stepp's Towing & Heavy Transport is a fast-paced company located in Tampa, now hiring for the position of Accounts Payable Clerk. Applicants must have work experience in Accounts Payable.

Essential Functions:

• Enter received vendor invoices accurately and timely, ensuring all necessary documentation and approvals are obtained in accordance with Department and Corporate procedures.


• Ensure timely payment of outstanding vendor invoices.


• Perform research and reconciliation of vendor statements.


• Initiate contact with internal and external parties, as needed, for supporting documents or missing information.


• Meet accounting deadlines for month-end process and closing cycles.


• Perform other related duties or special projects, as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years Accounts Payable experience


• Must be used to high transaction and fast paced environment.


• Knowledge of QuickBooks recommended.


• Demonstrate intermediate to advanced skills and knowledge of Excel, as well as other Microsoft Office applications.


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills


• Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively across the organization.


• Highly detail-oriented


• Ability to meet deadlines.


• Ability to work in a team environment.
