Position Overview:

The Accounting M anager is responsible for overseeing the accounting operations of the com pany, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all accounting processes.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in finance or accounting (nonprofit experience preferred).

• Solid knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software.

• V endor/contractor management experience

Finance Manager Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger functions

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment scheduling and collection efforts

• Manage monthly accounting close process including reconciliation of bank statements and balance sheet accounts

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and ad-hoc reports under the guidance of the CFO

• Support the annual CPA audit and Tax Return 990 process

• Document and monitor financial processes and procedures to strengthen internal controls

• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard organizational assets

• Collaborate with Sr. Manager Revenue & Claims to monitor and manage project budgets effectively

• Collaborate with other team members to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency and accuracy to streamline procedures and systems

Physical Requirements

Must have the use of sensory skills to effectively communicate and interact with other employees and the public using telephone and personal contact as normally defined by the ability to see, read, talk, sit, stand, hear, use hands to fingers, handle, feel, or operate objects, and read and write English. Physical capability to effectively use and operate various items of office equipment, such as but not limited to a personal computer, calculator, copier, and fax machine.
Work is predominantly indoors within a usually quiet to moderately noisy environment. A considerable amount of time is spent working/sitting in front of a computer.  Must be able to lift, carry, and/or push articles weighing up to 20 lbs.
