Position Summary

The Multi-Family Residential HVAC Installer is responsible for installing, replacing, and commissioning heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in multi-family residential properties. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to meet project timelines while maintaining Josko Services' high standards for quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Install HVAC systems, including ductwork, piping, wiring, and associated components, in renovation projects for multi-family residential properties.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and job specifications to ensure accurate installations.
• Perform start-up, testing, and system commissioning to verify proper operation.
• Collaborate with other trade professionals to ensure efficient project execution.
• Adhere to all safety protocols, building codes, and company installation standards.
• Diagnose and resolve installation-related issues or system discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate records of installations, including materials used and work completed.
• Ensure job sites are clean, organized, and left in a professional state upon project completion.
• Provide feedback to the Install Manager regarding process improvements or recurring field issues.
• Assist with mentoring and training junior installers or helpers as needed.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience : Minimum 3 years of HVAC installation experience, preferably in multi-family or large-scale residential projects.
• Certifications : EPA Section 608 Certification (required);
• Technical Skills :
  • Proficiency in installing split systems, heat pumps, package units, and mini-split systems.
  • Ability to read and follow schematics and technical manuals.
  • Experience with brazing, soldering, and duct fabrication.

• Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in tight or elevated spaces.
  • Comfortable working in varying weather conditions and on active construction sites.

• Soft Skills:
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

• Other Requirements : Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
