Accounts Payable Manager
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Accounts Payable department, including supervision of a small AP team.
- Oversee the full-cycle AP process including invoice intake, coding, approvals, and vendor payments.
- Lead the transition from paper checks to digital payment methods such as ACH, virtual cards, and automated payment platforms.
- Partner with Treasury and Banking teams to optimize cash management and payment workflows.
- Identify opportunities to automate and streamline AP processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
- Support or lead AP-related system implementations and upgrades , including integration with accounting and payment platforms.
- Evaluate and implement AI-driven tools or automation solutions to enhance invoice processing, approvals, and reporting.
- Develop and maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Analyze AP metrics and performance, identifying trends and recommending improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Accounting, Finance, Procurement, and IT.
- Maintain strong vendor relationships and resolve complex payment or billing issues.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes related to AP.
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 5+ years of progressive Accounts Payable experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities
- Experience managing or overseeing a small Accounts Payable department
- Hands-on experience with treasury or banking processes , including digital payment initiatives
- Proven experience driving process improvements, workflow optimization, or system implementations
- Experience helping organizations transition to automated or digital AP environments
- Exposure to AI tools or intelligent automation in finance or accounting is a strong plus
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Advanced Excel and financial systems experience preferred
- Yardi software experience is a strong plus
