Pay Rate:

The pay rate for this job is $21 - $21 / hour*

What you'll be doing as a Line Cook:

• Prepare and cook food according to recipes for VIP customers and/or Cirque employees
• Report and follow chef's instructions
• Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food productions at line stations to ensure smooth service
• Observe and test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently and ensure food comes out in high quality and in a timely fashion
• Inspect food preparation and serving areas to ensure observance of safe, sanitary food-handling practices
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
• Clean up stations and take care of the leftover food.
• Clean up kitchen area, take out trash, mop floors and wipe down the dining area when needed
• Participate in the teardown and set up of the kitchen
• Help oversee prep cook's duties and tasks

Shift timings - 1st Shift (Day), 2nd Shift (Evening), Weekends

Job requirements:

• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for employment with PeopleReady3 to 5 years of proven cooking experience in high end restaurants or hotels
• Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
• Culinary skills and techniques for preparing small and large quantities of food
• Be familiar with the industry's best practices
• Ability to handle and prepare a variety of raw and cooked foods
• Maintains a clean and sanitary workstation area
• Ability to work well under pressure and take direction
• Ability to lift heavy items and work in a loud environment
• Stand in kitchen environment for long periods of time
• Ability to provide health/food safety certification documentation that may be required
• Background Check Required
