Nanny

The nanny will work in our home, caring for our five-year-old twins and eight-year-old son. The nanny will serve as a loving, nurturing and trustworthy companion to our children. Major Responsibilities: * Create a stimulating, nurturing, and safe environment for the children * Supervise the children's activities at all times * Plan and prepare meals for and feed the children * Dress the children * Place the children down for bedtime * Bathe the children * Perform housework related to child care, including washing the children's clothes, cleaning up after meals, tidying play areas, and washing dishes * Teach the children good social manners * Play with the children, both indoors and outdoors * Plan and lead educational activities, including reading, with the children * Drive the children to and from activities * Administer medicine to the children Job Qualifications and Requirements: * High school graduate * Experience caring for children * Training or experience in early childhood education helpful, but not required * First aid training and child CPR * Driver's license and safe driving history * Authorization to work in the U.S. (or willing to work through an au pair agency to get a visa) * English proficiency * Reliable, honest, and trustworthy * Physical ability to care for a young child * Ability to plan, organize, and multitask with minimal supervision The live-in nanny will be provided with a room and food. The nanny may need to prepare her own meals, but is not expected to assist with cooking for the parents. We are looking for help five to six days a week. We have some flexibility as to the hours if, for example, you are taking classes. Salary commensurate with experience. This is an employee position and taxes will be withheld if required. The nanny will be required to sign the appropriate tax/governmental forms. A non-smoker is required. Consumption of alcohol will not be permitted around the children; you will not be allowed to store alcohol outside your room. The practice of yoga is not permitted in our home.
