Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a high-acuity Med/Surg Telemetry position at an acute care hospital in Florida, requiring strong telemetry and rapid response experience.

Details

• Work in a mixed Med/Surg Telemetry unit at a 210-bed acute care hospital
• High-acuity patient population with a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Strong telemetry monitoring experience is required for this unit
• Meditech EMR used for charting
• Day shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required within scope of practice
• Block scheduling is not available
• Free parking on-site

Requirements

• Active FL RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Strong telemetry experience required
• Rapid Response team experience required
• Total joints experience required
• Must reside more than 30 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible

Additional Information

• 13-week assignment
• Clinical orientation requires availability for a minimum of 5 shifts (36–40 hours) during the first week
• Approximately 4 hours of online modules must be completed prior to the start date
• Holiday coverage is required: if 1–2 holidays fall within the assignment, traveler must work 1 holiday eve and 1 holiday; if 3 holidays fall within the assignment, traveler must work 1 holiday eve and 2 holidays
• No RTO permitted during the first or last week of the assignment
• Any time off or scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial application
