Mechanical HVAC Estimator

What You ll Do:

• Create accurate and profitable bids for commercial HVAC.
• Assess project requirements and build a comprehensive estimate of materials, equipment and labor.
• Prepare quotes by gathering information, evaluating plans and bid packages.
• Use blueprints to prepare a complete list of all job costs.
• Collaborate with Account Manager and contractors to determine HVAC system requirements.
• Negotiate with the GC, vendors and subcontractors on behalf of the organization.
• Calculate project budgets and submit competitive bids.
• Assist in project planning, submittal process and procurement of materials and equipment.
• Manage and prioritize multiple bidding assignments simultaneously, while reprioritizing work as needed ensuring deadlines are met.

What You Bring:

• Knowledge of mechanical systems, duct layouts and controls.
• Experience in reading blueprints, technical drawings and bid packages.
• Proficiency in use of estimating software and tools.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in cost calculations.
• Strong analytical skills and effective communication skills.
• Experience in estimating within the HVAC industry for both mechanical and duct installation projects.
