Accounting Assistant

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant for a contract engagement. In this role, you will play a crucial part in our financial operations by managing high-volume Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at multitasking, and possesses a sharp eye for accuracy. proficiency in QuickBooks and hands-on experience with 3-way matching are required for this position.

salary: $27 - $29 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM
education: Associate

Responsibilities

• Process a high volume of vendor invoices and customer billings accurately and efficiently.

• Perform 3-way matching (verifying Purchase Orders, Receiving Documents, and Invoices) to ensure precise payments.

• Review, verify, and reconcile invoices, identifying and resolving any discrepancies with vendors or internal departments.

• Prepare and execute weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers.

• Monitor AR aging reports, follow up on delinquent accounts, and apply incoming customer payments correctly.

System Maintenance & Administrative Support

• Maintain and update financial records within QuickBooks .

• Assist with month-end closing procedures, including account reconciliations.

• Organize, digitize, and maintain orderly digital accounting files and documentation.

• Provide prompt, professional support for internal and external financial inquiries.

Job Requirements & Qualifications

Experience & Education

• Experience: 2+ years of dedicated experience in a high-volume AP/AR accounting role.

• Software: Proven proficiency and hands-on experience using QuickBooks is a must.
