About the Opportunity

Vaco is recruiting for a Customer Account Specialist in Jacksonville, Florida. This contract-to-hire opportunity is ideal for someone with experience supporting B2B customers, order management, and supply chain operations .

The Customer Account Specialist will manage customer accounts throughout the order-to-cash process, serving as a key point of contact while partnering with internal teams to ensure accurate order processing, timely delivery, and a high level of customer service .

Key Responsibilities

Customer Account Management

• Manage assigned B2B customer accounts and assist with new account onboarding
• Serve as a primary point of contact for customer questions and requests
• Build strong customer relationships through responsive and professional communication
• Maintain accurate customer and account information

Order Management

• Process customer orders and manage changes, inquiries, and follow-up
• Track orders from entry through completion and delivery
• Monitor order activity across ERP, CRM, customer portals, and other systems
• Review reports and dashboards to identify discrepancies or potential delays
• Ensure orders are processed accurately and within established timelines

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Partner with logistics, sales, planning, operations, and finance teams
• Troubleshoot order, delivery, and account-related issues
• Communicate updates and resolutions to customers
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and streamline workflows

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in customer service, order management, logistics, inside sales, or a related function
• Experience supporting B2B customers and order processing
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organization, attention to detail, and follow-through
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong Microsoft Office skills
• Experience with ERP, CRM, and customer portal systems preferred
• SAP experience is a plus
• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent relevant experience

Preferred Experience

• Manufacturing or supply chain environment
• Knowledge of Incoterms and freight terminology
• Import/export experience
• Export operations training
• Experience working with data, reports, and operational dashboards

The ideal candidate is customer-focused, organized, and highly detail-oriented , with the ability to manage multiple customer accounts and orders simultaneously. They should be comfortable working across different systems, solving problems, and collaborating with multiple departments to keep orders moving and customers informed.
