Accounts Receivable Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable & Collections Specialist to support finance operations for client opportunities in the Greater Tampa Bay area. This role is responsible for overseeing the full AR lifecycle—from cash application and billing reconciliation to resolving complex client discrepancies and managing high-volume business-to-business (B2B) collections.

Responsibilities

• Collections Management: Conduct proactive outreach via phone and email to business accounts to negotiate payment terms and resolve past-due balances.

• Cash Application: Post daily incoming cash, ACH, wire transfers, and credit card payments to proper accounts accurately and efficiently.

• Discrepancy Resolution: Partner with sales, billing, and operations departments to research and clear deductions, short payments, and billing disputes.

• Account Reconciliation: Maintain ledger accuracy by performing monthly AR account reconciliations and aging report analyses.

• Credit Analysis: Assist with credit checks for new clients, setting credit limits, and reviewing account holds as needed.

• Reporting: Prepare weekly aging reports and update management on high-risk accounts and expected cash inflows.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: 2–5+ years of dedicated Accounts Receivable and B2B Collections experience.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in major ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or QuickBooks) and intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables).

• Communication: verbal and written communication skills with a customer-service-oriented approach to dispute resolution.
