- Deliver comprehensive equine care across hospital and ambulatory settings, including sports medicine and lameness evaluations
- Manage elective and emergency surgical cases in modern surgical suites
- Provide triage, stabilization, and inpatient care for emergencies with participation in a shared on-call rotation
- Perform diagnostics and procedures, interpret imaging and laboratory findings, and develop evidence-based treatment plans
- Communicate clearly with clients and referring veterinarians, ensuring timely updates and excellent service
- Maintain accurate medical records and uphold controlled substance protocols
- Contribute to daily rounds, case reviews, and continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with technicians and support teams to optimize efficiency and patient outcomes Requirements
- DVM or VMD (or equivalent) and eligibility for licensure in Florida
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- Board-certified or residency trained in a relevant equine specialty
- DEA registration eligibility
