PRN Supervised Visitation Coordinator

Position Requirements
The Supervised Visitation Coordinator is responsible for arranging, facilitating, and documenting family time visits between children in out-of-home care and their biological families. This role is key to maintaining and supporting safe family connections while upholding child welfare standards. The coordinator manages intake and referral processes, schedules visits, coordinates locations, and provides ongoing communication with all involved parties. This position may also involve administrative tasks related to facility access and billing support. Candidates must demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage logistics while ensuring a supportive and structured visitation experience.
Position Responsibilities
The Supervised Visitation Coordinator oversees the full administrative and operational cycle of family time visits, from referral to documentation. Responsibilities include receiving and reviewing referrals, completing intakes, coordinating scheduling and visit locations, supervising visits, and maintaining consistent communication with case managers, caregivers, and families. The coordinator ensures that all sessions are documented in compliance with agency and licensing standards and may assist with billing documentation as needed. This role does not involve transporting children, as transport is provided by designated staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and review referrals for supervised visitation services
- Complete intake process with appropriate parties in a timely and professional manner
- Coordinate visit schedules and locations based on case plans, availability, and facility access
- Supervise family visits, ensuring emotional and physical safety of the child at all times
- Maintain accurate, timely, and objective documentation of visit activity and observations
- Maintain regular communication with case managers, caregivers, and biological family members
- Report safety concerns, boundary violations, or unusual behaviors to supervisor promptly
- Assist with billing documentation related to completed visits, as assigned
- Maintain office access and coordinate with facilities for room preparation and usage
- Participate in case staffings, team meetings, and agency training
- Adhere to all agency, legal, and licensing guidelines
- Flexibly accommodate visitation needs, including occasional evenings or weekends
Note : This position requires travel between visit locations and may include community-based or in-home supervision. Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and appropriate vehicle insurance are required. Staff must complete all required training and participate in ongoing professional development.
Requirements:Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or related field preferred.
- An associate degree or equivalent experience in child welfare or a related area will be considered.
Experience
- Minimum of one (1) year working with children and families in a child welfare or social service setting is required.
- Prior experience facilitating supervised visitation or working with court-involved families is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with trauma-informed practices, documentation, and billing processes is ideal.
