Hours: B1  7a-7p Thursday-Saturday every other Wednesday

Position Summary:

Conduct analytical laboratory testing in the microbiological and chemical areas.  Provide technical expertise and investigate excursions.  Participate in test method development, laboratory equipment qualifications and test method validations.  Responsible for independently performing complex tasks with minimal supervision, demonstrating moderate to high problem solving skills, and identifying, implementing and managing project tasks in accordance with established timelines and budgets.  Operate in accordance with company policies, procedures, FDA Regulations, and USP and ICH guidelines where applicable. 

Responsibilities: Essential Duties

  • Supports the Lab in the preparation and update of test methods/specification/procedures and related documents.
  • Assists in chemical testing activity.
  • Updates training activities and related SAP system.
  • Updates daily testing activity including trending.
  • Adherence to good laboratory practices, good documentation practices, good housekeeping and good manufacturing process.
  • Supporting the Lab in achieving objectives/targets outlined by the Head of Department.

  • Contacts are primarily with direct supervisor, peers and subordinates.

Expertise: Qualifications - Experience/Training/Education/Etc

Required:

  • High school diploma/G.E.D or equivalent required, Associate's or technical degree preferred
  • 02-04 years related experience required.
  • Ability to work non-stand schedule as needed, On-call hours as needed

The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms for to perform analytical testing. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk or bend and twist. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
