JOB TITLE: Propulsion Test Engineers

LOCATION: Kennedy Space Center, FL

PAY RATE: $88/hour

Qualifying Questions:

Summary:

• Execute test engineering activities, including authoring and performing detailed operating procedures on spacecraft propulsion systems.

• Conduct hypergolic propellant servicing in support of vehicle test, verification, and production efforts.

• Develop and implement processes for component removal, replacement, and re-testing on hypergolic propellant systems.

• Perform leak testing and ensure proper operation of spacecraft propulsion systems.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science from an accredited institution.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in propulsion-related fluid test engineering for spacecraft.

• Hands-on experience loading hypergolic propellants or working with hypergol-contaminated systems.

• Proven experience leak-checking spacecraft fluid systems.

• Experience developing procedures for leak checks and functional tests of hypergolic propulsion systems.

• Proficient in operating high-pressure pneumatic equipment for pressurizing flight hardware.

• Demonstrated ability to lead technicians, quality assurance personnel, and fellow engineers during test execution.

• Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to document and resolve discrepancies on ground support and flight hardware.

• Must be willing to work overtime and off-shift hours, including 2nd and 3rd shifts.

• Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

Desired Skills:

• Current Non-Destructive Test (NDT) Leak Test certification.

• Current SCAPE (Self-Contained Atmospheric Protective Ensemble) / SAR (Supplied Air Respirator) certification.
