Lobby Bar Server

:

Summary: The Lobby Bar Server will serve alcoholic beverages, food, provide excellent customer service, and keep bills and tabs organized. They need to be personable, attentive, and able to communicate effectively in order to provide the best service for their customers based on company standards.

Responsibilities:

• Take drink and food orders from customers.
• Deliver drinks and food to customers promptly.
• Check guests' identification to confirm they are of legal drinking age.
• Collect payments, and balances receipts.
• Provide responsible service of alcohol, knowing when to stop serving a guest, and handling guest complaints.
• Manage multiple tables at once, delivering food to one table and drinks to another.
• Knowledge of beverage products, menus, and promotions.
• Maintain compliance with applicable health code, dress code, and other serving standards.
• Coordinate with bar staff to ensure the availability of all beverages.
• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the cocktail bar and other work areas.
• Clean, clear tables, and return plates and utensils to the kitchen area.
• Prepare stock items such as straws, and napkins during opening and closing shifts.
• Service and fulfill to-go orders via the lobby bar by phone and in person.
• Comply with the company's drug-free and tobacco/nicotine-free policy.
• All other duties as assigned.

Experience/Qualifications:

• Prior experience in a fast-paced food-service environment.
• Knowledge of cocktail recipes, types of alcohol, and common alternatives for customers with allergies or special requests.
• Motivated, self-starting personality.
• Excellent multitasking, customer service, and organizational skills.
• Experience with POS, credit card systems, and cash handling skills.
• Ability to lift to 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. infrequently.
• Must be able to legally work in the USA.

Education and Certification(s)/License(s):

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
