We are seeking a new Assistant Project Manager to join our team at Ardmore Roderick. As an Assistant Project Manager , you will join a team of infrastructure solutions experts working to solve our client’s ever evolving project needs. This opportunity will be located onsite at the client location in Florida and requires a daily onsite presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Serves as a direct support resource to the client’s Project Management Office (PMO), assisting in the coordination and delivery of multiple concurrent projects
- Support Project Managers in the planning, coordination and execution of assigned projects within the client’s portfolio
- Track project performance against scope, schedule and budget baselines, ensuring variances are escalated promptly
- Coordinate activities between internal departments, contractors, consultants and external stakeholders to ensure alignment
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including schedules, risk logs, meeting minutes and status reports
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress, verify alignment with project plans and coordinate with field personnel and inspectors
- Review contractors pay applications and change orders for accuracy and compliance with contract terms
- Assist in coordinating project activities within an active port environment to minimize disruption to business operations
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, business or a related field
- 3–7 years of experience in project coordination or project management support
- Demonstrated experience working on maritime or port projects
- Proficiency in project management tools such as Procore, ACC and MS Project
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Have a team player mindset with the ability to communicate proficiently in written and verbal forms
- Have good to great organizational skills
- Familiarity with maritime safety standards or regulatory environments
- Experience with public-sector procurement policies and regulations
