Housekeeping - Houseman

Sanibel Harbour Marriott Resort and Spa is looking for a full-time Housekeeping Houseman.

The Housekeeping Houseman supports the housekeeping team by maintaining cleanliness in public areas, assisting with linen distribution, and ensuring that housekeeping staff are equipped to keep guest rooms and hotel spaces clean and presentable. This is a physically active, behind-the-scenes role that is critical to the smooth operation of the hotel.

What you will be doing:

• Assist room attendants by delivering linens, towels, cleaning supplies, and amenities.
• Remove used linen and trash from guest floors and housekeeping carts.
• Maintain cleanliness of public areas including lobbies, hallways, elevators, stairwells, and restrooms.
• Vacuum, dust, mop, and clean windows and furniture in public areas as needed.
• Replenish supplies in housekeeping closets and restock housekeeping carts.
• Report maintenance issues, lost and found items, or safety hazards to the appropriate department.
• Respond to guest requests courteously and promptly when encountered.
• Follow hotel policies and procedures for safety, sanitation, and guest service.
• Follow the proper lost and found procedures.
• Communicate effectively and efficiently with guests, to co-workers and supervisors.
• Be in proper uniform at all times.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

The ideal candidate for this position:

• Candidates must have the work permit and proper paperwork to be employed in the USA.
• Previous experience is a plus but not necessary.
• Flexible hours according to hotel needs, the candidate must be able to work on weekends.
• Ability to communicate with guests.
• Ability to stand for up long periods of time.
• Ability to provide friendly guest service with a smile.
• Ability to lift, pull, and push moderate weight. (minimum of 50 lbs.)
