Position Description

The Flight Operations Manager will lead a small team of Flight Operations Specialist and proactively manage the performance of complex government flight operations and flight planning for a dedicated aviation program, creating single support and services provided to clients.

Duties & Responsibilities

Oversee the preparation, coordination, and facilitation of all aspects of flight and logistical operations for aviation to include, but not restricted to:

• Ensure 24/7/365 availability to clients and maintain 100% mission performance.

• Resolve operations issues in real time

• Manage all subcontractors are performing as required

• Monitors operational tasks to ensure workload is distributed efficiently and all tasks are updated accurately.

• Manager Schedules, Permits, Crew Transportation and Ground Handling

• Manages the teams work schedules, scheduling tasks and training.

• Coordinated with other departments to include Trip Planning, Dispatch, Logistics and Financial Operations.

• Initiates the distribution documentation to appropriate parties and comply with governmental regulations as needed for the specific trips/requirements.

Skills & Knowledge Requirements

• Former Military preferred

• US Citizen with valid passport

• Bachelor's degree preferred

• Team leadership experience

• Aviation experience in operations

• Motivated, self-starter

• High-level communication skills required

• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills

• Work well with team members inside and outside their department

• High level of understanding in basic mathematical computation and principles

• Must have attention to detail

• Ability to travel as needed

• Shiftwork, Afterhours, On-Call may be required
