TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Wound/Ostomy RN in Melbourne, Florida, 32901!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Wound Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (08:00 - 16:30) Experience: 1 year of wound care experience preferred License: Florida State or compact license required Certifications: BLS, WCC required, WOCN preferred Must-Have: - Wound care certified or ostomy certified - EPIC experience Description: Wound Care position available, working Monday through Friday from 08:00 to 16:30. Candidates must be Wound Care Certified or Ostomy Certified with certification in hand at the time of application. EPIC experience is required for this position. The primary location for this role will have the highest volume of consults. Contractors will float to cover community hospitals when the designated Wound Care staff are off or when there is an increased volume of consults. This role may involve floating a couple of times per week among four hospitals. There is a team in place to manage the hospitals, which includes full-time and part-time staff as well as per diem Wound Care professionals. The position does not require weekend work or on-call duties. A block schedule accommodation may be possible depending on unit needs and manager approval. Medical or religious exemptions are accepted for required vaccines. Two references from authority figures within the last year must be provided for consideration. Candidates must be available for lab work within 72 hours of signing and be compliant with background policy. References must come from managers, supervisors, charge nurses, or directors. Travel pairs may be accepted with unit leader approval but will not have guaranteed schedules. A thorough understanding of wound care practices is essential for this role, including management and care for various types of wounds and ostomies. Knowledge of specialized treatment products and procedures is also important. Candidates should be prepared to work with a variety of interdisciplinary support teams.
