University's Health Services (UHS) at Florida State University (FSU) envisions a healthy community where every student thrives. Coburn Health and Wellness Center, a 170,000 square-foot multipurpose facility built in 2012. The Health and Wellness Center includes classrooms, a nursing triage clinic, a priority clinic, a fitness center, and a healing garden for personal reflection.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for building new applications after the initial design phase is complete.
• Creates technical design of new web and server application code and databases.
• Architects efficient and reusable tooling that supports UHS custom application development.
• Researches and implements up to date industry best practices and standards.
• Drafts web application user interfaces and consults with team lead and application development team on changes or improvements.
• Creates prototypes of new applications while working with team lead in the design phase.
• Responsible for meeting with team lead to plan the development of new applications, and or changes to existing applications.
• Assists team lead in routine SQL data maintenance tasks.
• Assists with server configuration tasks required to run applications.
• Performs user access management of custom applications.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or other appropriate degree and two years experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and six years of experience. (Note: a combination of post high school education and experience equal to six years.)
