Overview
NEO Surgical Group is seeking a detail‑oriented and organized Scheduling Coordinator to join our growing healthcare team. This role is essential in ensuring smooth patient flow and delivering an exceptional patient experience in a fast‑paced medical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage patient appointment schedules accurately and efficiently
- Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and internal staff to support scheduling needs
- Utilize HIPAA‑compliant systems, including Athena One EMR, to schedule and maintain appointments
- Maintain accurate patient records while ensuring confidentiality and privacy at all times
- Answer incoming calls, respond to emails, and address appointment‑related inquiries professionally
- Assist with general office administrative tasks such as filing and documentation
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to optimize scheduling workflows
- Ensure compliance with medical scheduling protocols, policies, and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Prior experience in medical scheduling, healthcare administration, or related roles preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and medical office procedures
- Proficiency with scheduling and EMR systems (experience with Athena One preferred)
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work efficiently under pressure
- Bilingual candidates are a plus
