Music & Worship Pastor
Job Responsibilities & Duties
- Provide leadership to a comprehensive worship ministry. This includes planning, organizing, rehearsing, executing and evaluating weekly services with a high degree of excellence. The ideal candidate will be able to lead in a band driven, culturally relevant atmosphere, with a pastor’s heart for a choir he will shepherd, as well as a proven ability to integrate a choir into a modern worship service.
- Recruit, train, shepherd, and direct the musical, vocal, choir, and technical teams.
- Possess working knowledge of Planning Center Online, ProPresenter, Abelton Live, and best practices for maintaining necessary copyright licenses.
- Supervise the work of assigned paid staff workers.
- Create and supervise a multi-generational music and worship program to inspire children and students to reach their peers, to learn the basics of music and worship, and to minister to the church body.
- Assist the pastor in planning all worship services.
- Approve music for weddings, funerals, special projects, ministries, and other church related activities upon request.
- Maintain music library, materials, supplies, musical instruments, and other equipment.
- Keep informed on music methods, materials, promotion, and administration.
- Plan, organize, direct and promote musical and dramatic events as determined by Pastoral staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
