Diesel Mechanic - Semi Trucks and Trailers

Wherry Truck Lines, Inc. (WTL) is seeking a highly skilled Diesel Mechanic with expertise in Mack Tractors and Trailers. Our new facility has grown from 10,000 to 30,000 square feet.

Are you passionate about keeping heavy-duty vehicles on the road? As part of our team, you’ll diagnose and repair diesel tractors, ensuring they run smoothly and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include:

• Diagnosing Issues: You’ll use your keen diagnostic skills to identify mechanical problems in Mack tractors and trailers. Whether it’s engine trouble, transmission issues, or electrical glitches, you’ll be the detective who cracks the case.

• Repairing and Maintaining: From routine maintenance to major overhauls, you’ll roll up your sleeves and get those tractors purring. Whether it’s swapping out parts, adjusting systems, or fine-tuning engines, you’ll be the go-to mechanic.

• Safety First: Safety is your middle name (well, not literally, but you get the idea). You’ll follow safety protocols, ensuring that every repair meets industry standards and keeps drivers safe on the highways.

• Documentation: You’ll keep meticulous records of your work—what you fixed, how you fixed it, and when.

Qualifications:

• Experience: You’ve got the wrench time—preferably with Mack Tractors and Trailers. Your toolbox is your best friend, and you’ve probably named your torque wrench.

• Certifications: A valid diesel mechanic certification is like gold. If you’ve got one, we’re already impressed.

• Problem-Solving Skills: You’re the MacGyver of the garage. When faced with a tricky issue, you don’t panic; you grab your toolbox and get to work.

• Attention to Detail: Loose bolts? Not on your watch. You’ll spot the tiniest leaks and quirkiest noises.

• Team Player: You’ll collaborate with other mechanics, sharing knowledge and lending a hand when needed. Because teamwork makes the dream work (and the tractors run).
