What is this role?

Cirkul is seeking a Senior Fullstack Developer (Front End & Back End). This person will have a passion for creating innovation, engaging web user experiences and has seasoned experience in managing the many requirements of a modern commerce stack.

What does an average day look like?

Driving Results: Manage the development of our go-to-market code cadence, synched with our team of front end developers, Web/Systems development lead, and the broader Cirkul product marketing team. Assist with additional backend business development functions as needed.

Taking Ownership: Build high-quality, responsive layouts with smooth interactions, transitions, and animations working alongside our creative and product teams. Operate within a transparent scope and schedule, developing appropriate sprint cycles that include internal and external testing against broader business go-to-market deadlines.

Making Decisions: Set a standard for responsive code that offers a great experience on all devices (mobile and desktop). Assist in managing bought/built technology integrations within our ecommerce, marketing technology and shipping stacks.

Cultivating Relationships: Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements for development

Instilling Trust: Contribute code that is clean, reusable, and scalable

Customer Focus: Assist in reporting on our website conversion and behavior analytics

What background should you have?

• 6+ years of professional web development experience


• 3+ years of experience working with Shopify. Shopify Plus experience is strongly preferred.


• Experience working within internal teams and external agencies.


• Experience in modern front-end technologies such as React, Vue, HTML5, Sass, JavaScript/Typescript


• Experience in backend technologies such as Node.js/Express.js, PostgreSQL, Redis, Rabbit MQ, OAuth


• Experience migrating prototyping tool designs into code (Adobe, Figma)


• Experience operating within database-driven applications (SQL experience)


• Strong ability to design front-end web applications with a focus on high performance and responsive design


• Maintain compliant code with accessibility standards


• Strong verbal and written communication skills throughout all levels of the organization


• Bonus Points: Cloud Experience (AWS/Heroku), mobile application development history
