We are currently in search of an experienced Insurance Verification Specialist to join our highly professional team. This vital role involves verifying patient insurance coverage, communicating effectively with the medical team, and coordinating with insurance providers to ensure smooth claim processing and payment.
Position is In-House Key Responsibilities:- Verify patient's insurance coverage details and benefits eligibility.
- Work alongside medical staff to ensure all necessary documentation is in place for insurance processing.
- Communicate with insurance providers to clarify discrepancies and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Process insurance claims and patient statements
- Maintain updated records of insurance policies and coverage.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the healthcare sector.
- Experience with Availity, Evicore, Optum pay and other insurance company portals for eligibility, authorization, and claim status checks.
- Experience with posting medical payments accurately and appealing denials when necessary to ensure timely reimbursement.
- Knowledge of insurance processes, including Verification of Benefits (VOB).
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- High attention to detail and superior organizational abilities.
- Advanced proficiency in the use of computer systems and applications like Electronic Health Rec
