MRO Business Analyst
POSITION SUMMARY
Analyzes data, business processes, functions, and procedures for transforming complex information into actionable insights to support managerial decisions and drive continuous business efficiency improvement to meet the needs of the organization.
JOB RESPONSIBLITIES
- Analyzes hangars' performance data, business and technical processes to identify trends, deviations and improvement opportunities and to support strategic discussion;
- Gathers requirements, conducts research, and presents solutions to complex business problems in collaboration with different departments.
- Monitors and analyzes financial results across multiple business units and service centers at different locations.
- Supports the development of business cases and business plans for new business opportunities.
- Represents the business unit to define requirements and business cases for technology developments.
- Partners with business, operations, corporate strategy, finance and technology teams, leading initiatives to improve operational efficiency and reduce waste through all the MRO organization.
- Develop reports for tracking hangars' key performance indicators results and validate data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Integrate financial, strategy and operational teams, promoting a holistic view of the MRO operations, identifying and exploring cost optimization focused on financial efficiency.
- Keep workplace organized.
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Education:
- BS/BA Undergraduate Degree in an Business, Engineering or Information Technology Discipline
Experience:
- Generally 5-7 years of experience with MRO industry and shop floor operation.
- Proficiency on SAP Crystal Reports, Microsoft Power BI, QlikView, SAP ERP, SharePoint, Quantum-Component Control, and advanced Microsoft Office applications;
- Proven experience with financial modeling and planning, forecasting and trend analysis;
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge of principles and practices in their work assignments which typically are complex in nature.
- Excellent communication skills, combined with a strong analytical/technical aptitude.
- Excellent understanding of the organization's goals and objectives.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Organized and detailed oriented.
- Knowledge of Six Sigma skills, Lean, Kaizen, process management, change management and advanced statistical techniques.
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and statistical skills.
Working Conditions / Environment/ Special Requirements
- Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including, OSHA, EPA, State and Federal regulations.
