Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A minimum of two to three years of advanced clerical experience in a tax collection, property appraisal, real estate, or related accounting environment to include one year at a supervisory level is required. Additional experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis. A Paralegal Certificate may substitute for two years of the required education. PREFERENCE Revenue collection and disbursement experience to include financial reporting and integration of business system solutions is highly preferred.

This is advanced administrative and supervisory work in coordinating a single function section or multi-functioned unit in the collection of state, county and municipal taxes and fees, and in the maintenance of related records. Plans, schedules, reviews and provides final approval of subordinates responsible for the Auto Tag Accounting process, including the upkeep of the Auto Tag Accounting Database, interest distribution, returned item cancellation and daily deposit reconciliation processes. The employee provides expertise in following Florida State, Florida Department of Revenue, and local regulations regarding Auto Tag transactions, ensuring Florida State statutes and guidelines are followed. This position requires significant adherence to the payment deadlines established by Florida State.
