Accountant
We are looking to hire an Accountant at Sign in Solutions. In this role you’ll jump in to tackle the day to day accounting operations, with a focus on general ledger accounting, and help implement scalable systems and efficient processes as the company grows.
We are looking for a candidate who has an accounting background with some experience in a high-growth technology company and who will bring innovation, efficiency and a positive outlook.
This is a hybrid role (3x/week in office) based in St Petersburg, Fl.

\n Skills:- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or related field with significant Accounting coursework
- CPA designation is an asset
- Previous experience in full cycle accounting in a SaaS or tech company is a plus
- Excellent knowledge and application of US GAAP
- Highly organized & detail oriented
- Great communication skills and is comfortable communicating with customers via email and phone
- Some knowledge of process improvement methodology and business process management techniques
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to forge effective relationships through all organizational levels and with customers
- Able to operate effectively & efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to implement processes and controls to ensure data integrity
- Able to research accounting issues and write memos
- Passionate about leveraging technology and experience implementing financial software to automate accounting and finance processes
- Experience in Netsuite, Charbee and Salesforce is a plus
- Strong proficiency in Excel
- Reviewing customer contracts in Salesforce and ensure they are set up correctly for revenue recognition
- Customer billing & cash receipt processing
- Ensuring that accounts receivable is collected promptly and that accounts payable are paid in a timely manner
- Work with Controller to implement and adhere to AR and AP controls and processes
- Managing our corporate credit card and expense report processes
- Reconcile bank and investment accountsImproving and implementing financial processes to drive organization efficiencies
- Lead systems projects and process improvement initiatives
- Lead month and year end close processes which includes reconciling accounts and preparing journal entries
- Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.
- Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
- Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.
- Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts, preparing a trial balance, and reconciling entries.
- Summarizes financial status by collecting information and preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements.
