Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Pre-Construction Manager for a direct hire opportunity in Orlando, FL supporting commercial construction projects throughout the Central Florida area. This full-time role is ideal for a detail-oriented preconstruction and estimating professional who enjoys leading projects from initial bid through turnover while collaborating with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal project teams.

The Pre-Construction Manager will play a key role in shaping project success early in the construction lifecycle by developing accurate estimates, identifying value engineering opportunities, supporting client presentations, and helping operations teams start projects with clear, reliable information.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead full-cycle estimating for commercial construction projects, including conceptual budgets, schematic estimates, design development pricing, and final GMP or lump sum bids.
- Perform quantity takeoffs, cost analysis, pricing reviews, variance analyses, value engineering, and cost modeling using drawings, specifications, historical data, and current market trends.
- Solicit, evaluate, negotiate, and manage subcontractor and supplier bids, including bid packages, RFP processes, and scope reviews.
- Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams on constructability, feasibility, pricing strategy, and project planning.
- Present estimates, proposals, and preconstruction recommendations to clients and participate in preconstruction meetings.
- Support subcontractor buyout and smooth project turnover to operations teams while maintaining strong trade partner and client relationships.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary: $90,000 to $130,000 per year.
- Direct hire, full-time position.
- Location: Orlando, FL, serving the Central Florida area.
- Work environment: Primarily office-based with occasional site and client visits.
- Schedule: Typically 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with minimal overtime.
