Cloud Architect

Our client, a financial services company in Miami, is seeking a Cloud Architect to design and implement scalable cloud infrastructure across the organization. This role involves developing cloud strategies, migrating workloads, and ensuring security and compliance across multi-cloud environments. The position reports to the VP of Technology and partners with engineering, security, and operations teams.

The ideal candidate has deep expertise in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and experience leading enterprise cloud transformations. This is a hybrid position requiring three days per week on-site at their Brickell office.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud architecture solutions aligned with business objectives
• Lead cloud migration initiatives and optimize existing cloud infrastructure
• Develop standards and best practices for cloud security and governance
• Evaluate and recommend cloud services, tools, and technologies
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure scalable and reliable systems
• Create architecture documentation, diagrams, and technical specifications
• Monitor cloud costs and implement optimization strategies
• Mentor engineering teams on cloud technologies and best practices

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture or infrastructure engineering
• Deep expertise in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
• Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
• Strong knowledge of cloud security, networking, and compliance frameworks
• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• AWS Solutions Architect or equivalent certification preferred
