Software Engineer- Full-Stack plus Embedded

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with 7 to10 years of professional experience and a strong, broad skillset across front-end, back-end, and embedded systems development. This role is central to our mission of delivering cutting-edge marine lighting solutions within the marine manufacturing industry, where precision, reliability, and innovation are key.

You’ll be responsible for building software that interfaces directly with physical equipment, combining embedded firmware, intuitive user interfaces, and robust APIs to create innovative, reliable, and user-friendly systems tailored for marine environments.

THIS IS A FULL-TIME POSITION, 100% ON SITE (office in Delray Beach east of I-95)

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect and develop embedded firmware for microcontrollers and resource-constrained devices.
• Design and implement responsive, user-centric front-end interfaces for configuration and control.
• Add new features and fix issues in existing products.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems reported by customers or identified during quality testing.
• Collaborate closely with hardware engineers to ensure seamless hardware-software integration.
• Optimize performance across embedded, front-end, and back-end components.
• Maintain high standards of code quality, documentation, and testing.

Required Qualifications:

• 7–10 years of professional experience in software development across embedded systems, front

end, and back-end technologies.

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering,

or a related technical field.

· Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded development for resource-constrained devices.

· Experience in HTML/CSS/JavaScript for front-end applications.

· Experience in back-end development, including API design, server-side logic, and database integration.

· Experience with mobile app development for both iOS and Android, using native or cross-platform tools.

· Experience with hardware-software integration, including debugging and interfacing with sensors, controllers, and other hardware components.

· Familiarity with communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, USB, and IP-based protocols.

· Strong understanding of software architecture, system design, and performance optimization across multiple layers of the stack.

· Comfortable using Git for version control in collaborative environments.

· Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality, maintainable, and well-documented code.

· Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.

Preferred Qualifications

· Comfortable using command-line tools and writing scripts for building and testing software.

· Experience using CI/CD for building and test integration and deployment.

· Experience with writing tests for UI integration/E2E testing (i.e. Cypress).

· Experience with writing software unit tests.

· Experience working with several communication protocols such as CAN bus, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth LE.
