Tax Associate

First Coast Accounting is looking for a dynamic Tax Associate to join our Tax team in Ft Lauderdale.

Tax Associates are responsible for (but not limited to):

• Preparation of federal, state, and local income tax returns and information filings

• Ensuring all federal and state income tax returns are prepared timely, accurately, and in compliance with applicable laws

• Communicating effectively with clients and meeting critical deadlines

• Participating actively in client meetings and tax planning efforts

Requirements

The successful candidate will have the following experience and attributes:

• 2 – 4 years’ experience preparing corporate, partnership, individual, and fiduciary income tax returns in a public accounting firm

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent required, with a master’s degree in taxation preferred

• Current CPA license or track to passing the CPA exam highly preferred

• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office Suite products

• Proficiency with CCH ProSystem fx Tax or other tax automation / workflow software preferred

• Client service oriented

• Team player

• Creative problem-solving skills

• Independent

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
