The Corporate Accounting and Finance team is seeking a hungry, humble and smart team member. Sure, it's great if you have a CPA and Big-4 background but what we need is an experienced accountant that is interested in a full-cycle experience. We rotate the responsibilities between our team members to allow them to gain a full-cycle accounting duty and to take an interest in, and ultimately understand, the bigger picture. We make it our mission to support our team members' personal and professional growth and we have the resources to deliver on our promise. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create and post journal entries and prepare necessary supporting documentation
• Ensure Financial Statements are produced in a timely and accurate manner, including adherence to general accounting principles (GAAP)
• Review month-end balance sheet reconciliations, propose adjusting journal entries and submit them for Assistant Controller's review
• General ledger accounting and mapping of fixed assets
• Process supplier invoices for review and approval
• Prepare information to outside auditors on an annual basis
• Special projects as necessary
• Serve as liaison between schools and accounting department
• Document business processes and accounting policies, spot errors and identify ways to maintain and strengthen internal controls

Experience and Education REQUIREMENTS:

• B.S. in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
• Strong Knowledge of Accounting Principles, GAAP and research skills
• At least 2 years' experience in corporate accounting and/or in a public accounting firm is required
• CPA, or CPA track preferred
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience in NetSuite, ProCare and/or bill.com is preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Solid written and oral communication, organizational and planning skills
• Ability to manage multiple, diverse projects concurrently
