Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and clinically strong Physician Assistant to join our urgent care team. The ideal candidate is comfortable managing a wide range of acute conditions, works well independently, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages in an urgent care setting
Perform physical exams, order and interpret diagnostic tests (labs, X-rays, EKGs)
Treat minor injuries, illnesses, and infections
Perform procedures such as suturing, splinting, wound care, and I&D
Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans
Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently in the EMR
Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to ensure quality patient care
Qualifications
Active Florida PA license (or ability to obtain)
NCCPA certification
Urgent care, emergency medicine, or primary care experience preferred
Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
Excellent communication and bedside manner
Ability to work weekends and holidays (rotating schedule)
