Staff Accountant

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking an ambitious team member to become a vital part of our company.

Working with our company, you will assist in many areas in the accounting department including accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger.

The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and possess accurate data entry skills and be highly organized.

JOB DUTIES

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Process vendor bills by matching quantity and prices to purchase order and filing documents.
• Reconciles processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
• Charges expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports, recording entries.
• Pays vendors by monitoring discount opportunities, verifying federal id numbers, scheduling, and preparing payments.
• Collaborates with team members to resolve discrepancies.
• Verify accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
• Assist with intercompany payments as needed.
• Maintains accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions.
• Assists with providing documentation to support audits.
• Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting Required.

Salary

$45,000 - $55,000

• Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus.
