Permit Coordinator
- Facilitate clients' coordination with regulatory resource agencies in obtaining environmental permits for delivery of clients' work programs.
- Perform environmental project tasks for assigned transportation projects related to all required environmental documentation (NEPA, PD&E, wetlands, listed species and environmental permitting), prioritized by clients' work programs.
- Coordinate with other consultant's design professionals and overall project team for accurate depiction of the natural environment on environmental permit applications, project reports, construction plans and to identify opportunities for avoiding and minimizing potential impacts.
- Perform field investigations of project sites.
- Document, analyze, and interpret quantitative and qualitative data on projects of varying complexity and size.
- Prepare documentation and technical reports for coordination with state and federal agencies.
- B.S./B.A. or M.S. in a field of Environmental Sciences, or other relevant degree.
- This level may be achieved by Environmental Scientists with minimum ten years' experience since Bachelor's degree, or seven years' experience with Master's degree.
- Strong organizational, task and time management, deductive reasoning, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency with the MS Office suite of software.
- Innovative recommendations to complex transportation project environmental permitting requirements.
- Aptitude for maintaining a professional attitude and attention to detail while working alone and within a team environment.
- Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills with clients and colleagues.
