• Well-rounded and broad technology background with a focus on networking
• Will report to Network Manager and to Kevin Hart

Network Infrastructure Design & Deployment

• Implement scalable network solutions across datacenter and campus environments.
• Design and maintain Layer 2/Layer 3 topologies, VLANs, and routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP) .
• Deploy and manage Cisco Catalyst and Nexus switches , including stackable and modular configurations.
• Understanding spine leaf technologies per network design and architecture.

Wireless & Cloud-Managed Networking

• Administer Meraki wireless networks, including SSID segmentation, RF optimization, and guest access policies.
• Utilize Meraki Dashboard for centralized monitoring, configuration, and troubleshooting of wireless and switching infrastructure.
• Implement cloud-managed Cisco Catalyst switches using Meraki Dashboard and Cloud-Native IOS XE for simplified operations and scalability.

Cisco Catalyst Center Management

• Leverage Cisco Catalyst Center for network automation, inventory management, and configuration drift detection.
• Perform device provisioning, policy deployment, and topology mapping using Catalyst Center’s intuitive workflows.
• Monitor network health and performance, execute command runners, and manage device roles and tags for operational clarity.

Monitoring, Automation & Compliance

• Use tools like SolarWinds, NetFlow, and SNMP for proactive network monitoring and alerting.
• Automate network tasks and compliance reporting using Python, Ansible, and ServiceNow integrations.
• Maintain accurate documentation and asset tracking aligned with ITIL and enterprise governance standards.

Collaboration & Leadership

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align network strategies with business, research, and clinical priorities.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge-sharing across the IT organization.

Firewalls and Load Balancers

• Network Engineer will have general knowledge and understanding of firewalls and load balancers in an enterprise environment in relation to the network and network operations. Palo Alto and F5 would be a plus
