Lead Front End Developer
TurboDebt is seeking a skilled Lead Frontend Developer with expertise in JavaScript , HTML , and 3rd Party Integrations to help guide our frontend development efforts. As a key leader within the engineering team, you will play a crucial role in simplifying our tech stack, ensuring smooth collaboration with various departments, and establishing proactive monitoring systems to prevent issues before they arise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead frontend projects from concept to completion, focusing on finding elegant, simple solutions to complex problems.
- Work with logging and alerting systems (primarily Sentry ) to ensure we are the first to know when something breaks and resolve issues quickly.
- Proactively identify blind spots in monitoring and alerting systems and implement solutions to prevent future issues.
- Collaborate with teams across the organization, including Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service, to ensure their needs are met with high-quality, sometimes pixel-perfect, user-friendly interfaces.
- Simplify and streamline the existing tech stack, with a focus on maintainability, scalability, and efficiency.
- Connecting 3rd party frontend integrations such as TrustedForm, IP2Geo, Google Tag Manager, etc.
- Be responsive during business hours to ensure timely communication with stakeholders and department heads.
Required Skills:
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript , HTML5/CSS3 , and integrating with APIs to create seamless user experiences.
- Experience with Sentry or similar tools for logging, monitoring, and setting up alerts.
- Familiarity with React and Next.js , but a focus on leveraging these tools as part of a larger, simplified solution.
- Proven ability to simplify complex systems and implement robust, scalable solutions.
- Solid understanding of Git version control.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for a proactive, problem-solving leader who sees the value in simplicity and has the foresight to prevent issues before they arise. You should be detail-oriented, technically strong, and capable of driving continuous improvement across the frontend stack.
