Corp Controller

: The Company is a U.S.-based service provider specializing in commercial restoration, construction, and roofing, serving both domestic and international clients who are distinguished commercial portfolio owners and operators worldwide. As a comprehensive solution for portfolio managers, owners, asset managers, and operators, they continuously expand their services to meet the evolving needs of their clients. The Controller is tasked with regularly examining balance sheet accounts and analyzing income statement accounts at both the company and division levels on a monthly basis. Additionally, the Controller will be involved in training and assessing the staff to guarantee optimal team performance and foster professional development among the team members. What you'll be doing.....

• Supervises the preparation and scrutiny of financial statements through the analysis of divisional expenses and balance sheet accounts.
• Guarantees adherence to the Company's month-end and year-end closing timelines.
• Creates monthly bank reconciliations and processes necessary cash entries.
• Updates daily cash reporting and conducts forecasting activities.
• Prepares outgoing bank wires.
• Presents financial statement results to the CFO and provides ongoing ad hoc financial reporting to division heads.
• Reviews divisional budgets and monthly budget-to-actual financial statements in collaboration with division heads and the CFO.
• Develops the monthly Work in Progress (WIP) schedule, utilizing information gathered and discussed with the operations teams.
• Assists in both internal and external audit activities to ensure auditors receive essential information for timely completion.
• Resolves internal issues by collaborating with other departments to ensure compliance with Company policies and external regulations.
• Monitors and maintains Company Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), identifying trends and issues for discussion with the CFO.
• Ensures compliance with state sales tax rules and regulations.
• Conducts monthly reviews of sales tax returns.

What you'll need.....

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance
• 6 Years of Experience as a Controller
• Experience in the Construction, Architecture, or Engineering Industry
• Must be able to analyze and explain complex transactions involving multiple steps.
