Jacksonville, FL

Position Overview

Job Title Middle Office Analyst Associate – Residential Focus & ABS Warehousing

Corporate Title Associate

Location Jacksonville, FL

OVERVIEW

The Middle Office Trade & Transaction Analyst / Associate provides operational expertise, independent governance, and risk-control oversight to ensure the timely, accurate, and complete management of transactions and collateral assets for the bank. The role has a specialized focus on Residential Real Estate and U.S. ABS Mortgage Warehouse Lending, supporting the integrity, movement, and reporting of collateral and loan documentation while ensuring effective risk management across the transaction lifecycle.

Working closely with Front Office, Operations, Technology, Legal, Finance, and other internal stakeholders, the analyst performs critical control functions related to collateral onboarding, mortgage asset uploads and reviews, borrowing base validation, advance rate determination, concentration limit monitoring, exposure management, and collateral movement activities. The role ensures the accuracy and integrity of data maintained across LoanIQ, Loan Information Processing System (LIPS), and other internal platforms.

The analyst provides technical, transactional, and logistical expertise to support business objectives while maintaining the appropriate balance of quality, flexibility, control, and cost. Through strong partnership and collaboration across businesses and divisions, the role helps maximize operational control, minimize risk, and deliver exceptional service to internal stakeholders and, where appropriate, external clients.

As a developing or established Subject Matter Expert (SME), the analyst contributes to the enhancement of operational processes, market practices, and technology platforms. The role builds and manages cross-functional partnerships to ensure business objectives are achieved in compliance with internal controls, regulatory requirements, and evolving business needs. The analyst also supports new business initiatives and helps ensure full front-to-back operational readiness for transactions ranging from high-volume warehouse funding activity to complex structured financing arrangements.

In an environment characterized by regulatory change, evolving market dynamics, and increasing operational complexity, the analyst is expected to apply strong analytical judgment, attention to detail, and innovative thinking to identify process improvements, strengthen controls, mitigate operational risk, and drive efficiencies that protect the bank and its shareholders while supporting continued business growth.

What We Offer You

  • A diverse and inclusive environment that embraces change, innovation, and collaboration
  • A hybrid working model, allowing for in-office / work from home flexibility, generous vacation, personal and volunteer days
  • Employee Resource Groups support an inclusive workplace for everyone and promote community engagement
  • Competitive compensation packages including health and wellbeing benefits, retirement savings plans, parental leave, and family building benefits
  • Educational resources, matching gift, and volunteer programs

What You’ll Do

Working within the Investment Bank Fixed Income & Currencies division, the Global Financing & Credit Trading Middle Office (GFCT MO) supports Asset Based Securities (ABS) lending. The Middle Office Analyst / Associate supports the overall loan origination, collateral management, and loan maintenance process from initial trade booking through collateral intake and review, revenue recognition, daily exposure monitoring, control execution, and risk mitigation.

GFCT MO is an operational team that supports loans booked and managed in LoanIQ, a Finastra platform, with collateral data and independent control activity supported through LIPS. Working with internal partners and/or external clients, the Middle Office Analyst / Associate is responsible for:

  • Managing the deal pipeline and supporting trade/transaction execution from initial booking through downstream operational readiness.
  • Supporting the disbursement of funds, management of incoming cash transactions, and complex revenue calculations in accordance with business requirements and established controls.

  • Performing independent control functions related to the upload, review, and ongoing monitoring of underlying mortgage assets supporting US ABS Mortgage warehouse lines.
  • Validating Borrowing Bases, determining Advance Rates, and monitoring Concentration Limits for ABS US transactions subject to margining based on fair value collateral or market value triggers.
  • Managing daily exposure and collateral movements for an assigned portfolio of clients, including prompt response to margin calls and collateral-related requests.
  • Reviewing for accuracy and executing mortgage release letters/deeds of reconveyance in accordance with established controls and business requirements.
  • Building and managing partnerships across internal businesses, including Front Office, Operations, Technology, and other stakeholders, to support business objectives, regulatory requirements, operational controls, and platform improvements.
  • Working as part of a team to ensure full front-to-back operational readiness for products ranging from high-volume vanilla trading to highly complex structured transactions.
  • Operating in a high-pressure, risk-control environment as a self-starter with strong organization, analytical judgment, attention to detail, independent ownership, and appropriate escalation of self-identified risks or control gaps.

Skills You’ll Need

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to review collateral data, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues timely.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date collateral records.

  • Confidence to work across boundaries, escalate issues appropriately, and address self-identified risks or control gaps.
