Aviation Part Inspectors
Job Summary:
Sparks Group is partnering with a leading Aviation company in order to fill multiple Produce Acceptance Specialist/Quality Inspection openings. Ideally, we are looking for someone to help make sure the airplane parts and products produced meet all design and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Check parts and materials to make sure they meet design and quality requirements.
- Keep records of inspection results as proof that everything was checked properly.
- Identify and report any problems or defects in parts or materials.
- Set aside any parts that don’t meet standards and help decide what to do with them.
- Review paperwork to make sure it’s correct and matches quality standards.
- Use tools like calipers, micrometers, and gauges to measure parts accurately.
- Perform both visual checks (looking for obvious damage or defects) and detailed measurements.
- Work with vendors and customers to resolve quality issues.
- Support and mentor other inspectors as needed.
- Hold special quality certifications (or "stamps") from at least three customers, showing you're qualified to inspect products for them.
What We’re Looking For:
- At least 2 years of experience in quality inspection, ideally in a manufacturing or aerospace environment.
- Comfortable using precision measurement tools like calipers, pin gauges, and comparators.
- Experience doing First Article Inspections (checking the first part off the production line).
- Good computer skills, especially with Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
