Job Title: Tax Accountant

Location: Miami, Florida

Function: Finance

The Tax Accountant will be responsible for managing the organization’s tax obligations, preparing accurate tax filings, supporting audits, managing payments across multiple entity countries, and advising on tax-efficient strategies for Sitero and the various family office businesses. This role requires strong and broad knowledge across corporate taxation, including United States federal, state, and international tax compliance for Sitero, the family office, and various real-estate ventures on and offshore.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Tax Compliance & Reporting
  
  
  
  • Prepare and file US federal, state, and local tax returns for the organization and subsidiaries across internation entity locations such as Canada, United Kingdom, Poland, and Australia.
  
  
  • Assist with international tax compliance, including VAT, GST, transfer pricing, and foreign entity reporting.
  
  
  • Maintain accurate tax records, schedules, and supporting documentation.
  
  
  • Ensure LLC compliance is met across Sitero and the family office
  
  


• Manage Payments and Bookkeeping
  
  
  
  • Process and drive completion of all payments across multiple entities
  
  
  • Manage general bookkeeping for Sitero and the family office of businesses
  
  


• Tax Planning & Advisory
  
  
  
  • Analyze tax implications of business transactions, contracts, and cross-border research agreements.
  
  
  • Identify opportunities to minimize tax liabilities while ensuring full compliance with Sitero, the family office, and real estate
  
  
  • Collaborate with Finance leadership to develop tax strategies that align with business growth.
  
  


• Audit & Risk Management
  
  
  
  • Reduce cost of accountants by preparing and completing tax filings internally
  
  
  • Support external audits, tax examinations, and regulatory reviews.
  
  
  • Respond to inquiries from tax authorities and provide supporting documentation.
  
  
  • Monitor changes in tax law and advise management on potential impacts.
  
  


• Collaboration & Support
  
  
  
  • Partner with project management, legal, and operations teams to ensure contracts and vendor relationships are tax-compliant.
  
  
  • Work with accounting to reconcile tax accounts and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  
  
  • Provide training and guidance to internal teams on tax matters affecting CRO operations.
  
  

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or related field required


• CPA, Chartered Accountant, or Master’s in Taxation required


• Minimum of 3-5 years of corporate tax accounting experience in professional services required


• Strong technical knowledge of U.S. (federal, state) and international tax laws required


• Proficiency with accounting/tax software (e.g., Oracle NetSuite, SAP, OneSource, or similar).


• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.


• Ability to communicate complex tax concepts clearly to non-financial stakeholders.


• High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.

COMMITMENTS:

• Standard Hours 40 hours per week, one hour lunch, Monday – Friday. Additional hours as needed.
