Contracts Specialist

We have an outstanding Contract position for a Contracts Specialist to join a leading Company located in theJacksonville, FL surrounding area.

**US Citizenship is required.**

**Candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.**

The Contracts Specialist is responsible for supporting legal contract management, document preparation, and analysis for multiple business lines under general supervision.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes client and supplier contract terms to ensure compliance with appropriate laws, regulations, corporate policies, and business unit procedures.
  • Communicates contract policy and practice to internal business teams.
  • Prepares, organizes, and maintains contract records and files documenting contract performance and compliance.
  • Drafts contractual instruments in accordance with prescribed templates and guidelines in accordance withcompany policy and applicable laws.
  • Reviews and provides feedback on proposals, contracts, and supplier agreements.
  • Assists with coordinating contract compliance across multiple business units.
  • Assists with reviewing and researching information for sales proposals.
  • May negotiate contract terms with clients and/or provide related support to branch offices.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Basic Hiring Criteria:

  • Bachelor's degree in legal studies, business, or a related field.
  • US Citizen; must be able to obtain a security clearance.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of direct experience working with US Federal Government contracts in a contract administration capacity.
  • Experience with state/local government is a plus.
  • Must have knowledge and experience working with FAR, DFARS, and other relevant federal agency supplemental regulations.
  • Experience with state/local government commercial practices is a plus.
  • Must possess a thorough understanding of service contract principles, theories, concepts, and regulations, with experience demonstrating a broad application of these practices.
  • Designation as CPCM, CFCM, FAC-C, or DAWIA equivalent is preferred.
  • Competencies:
    • Ability to communicate effectively, to handle multiple tasks, and to juggle competing priorities, with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with vendors and Company staff.
    • Shall be able to compose, read, comprehend, and interpret written materials of moderate to complex difficulty on procurement-related issues.
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external clients.
    • Ability to accurately perform in a fast, detail-oriented work environment.
    • Ability to work independently in a telework environment, managing competing priorities.
    • Excellent knowledge of contracting and procurement regulations, contracting laws, practices, principles, policies, standards, and regulations.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 Suite (Teams, SharePoint, Excel, Word), and other business tools used in the execution ofcontract management activities.
